The DLU doctoral residency is a 20-week hybrid experience designed to move leaders from developed vision into real-world execution.
In this final stage of formation, participants refine their ideas into structured models, develop sustainable strategies, and implement a 90-day launch plan that brings their work to life. The focus is clear: not just research, but deployment.
The residency culminates in a formal evaluation and public defense, marking the transition from preparation into active leadership and influence.
At DLU, the doctoral experience is not the end of study—it is the beginning of measurable impact.
The DLU doctoral residency is a 20-week hybrid experience designed to guide leaders through the final stage of formation and into active execution. During this period, participants refine their vision, develop structured business or ministry models, and build the strategic, operational, and financial frameworks necessary for sustainability.
This phase is highly applied. Leaders are not only learning—they are building in real time, with guided support, accountability, and evaluation throughout the process.
Embedded within the residency is the 90-day launch—an execution-focused phase where leaders move from planning into action.
Participants implement a structured launch plan designed to activate their initiative in a real-world context. This may include launching a business, ministry, program, or organizational model. The goal is clear: to ensure that every leader leaves not just with a concept, but with something that has been initiated, tested, and positioned for growth.
The 90-day launch establishes momentum, validates strategy, and creates a measurable starting point for long-term impact.
The DLU Think Tank serves as the culminating environment for presentation, evaluation, and release.
In this setting, leaders present their work, demonstrate the strategy behind their model, and articulate its sustainability and impact. This is more than a presentation—it is a moment of validation and transition.
The Think Tank marks the shift from structured formation into active influence, as leaders are recognized, affirmed, and released to lead within their respective spheres.
The Doctoral Formation Residency is offered as a selective, cohort-based experience designed for leaders who are prepared to move beyond theory and into real-world execution. Participation is intentionally limited to ensure depth of engagement, personalized guidance, and a high level of accountability throughout the process.
For the inaugural cohort, the investment is $6,500, representing a founding-level opportunity to engage this high-impact formation and deployment model. As the residency grows and matures, future cohorts will reflect the full scope and value of the program experience.
Access to the residency includes the complete 20-week formation journey, integrated Formation Institutes, applied tools and strategic frameworks, faculty-led instruction, and guided implementation support. Participants also take part in the DLU Think Tank and formal commissioning process, marking the transition from structured development into active leadership and influence.
